Hi been browsing the site for a while now and thought id say hello.

In the early stages of moving to Oz with my partner and our children.

Looks like we will be going on a 457 unless we hang of and wait to see what happens with the pathway D option (changes happening before end of March apparently).

Best get back to work now but look forward to picking everyones brains when the time comes.

hi guys, welcome to pio!! we are going on a 457 visa, hope all goes well:)

Hi - I've just had my long awaited job offer letter from a company in Sydney. I was hoping they would go for the ENS 121/856 permanent residency visa but they've opted for the temporary 457 visa. I suppose this is less hassle for them because I am 46? Do you (or anybody else) think that it's worth trying to persuade them to go for the ENS Permanent visa instead?

hi martin, most companys will tend to go for the 457 as it is quicker, once you are there ask them to change it to a ens, been told that can take about 8 months to do, but unsure if that is right. we are going on a 457 and when we get there they will do the ens. hope that helps,
