New to this

Well here we go, have decided that Oz appears to be the best future for us and the kids. We are about to start the process of applying. We have applied for the Australia needs skills expo in London and are waiting to here. Do we search the site for recommendations for agents ?
Do the agents let you know about visas or do we search the immigration website. We are both on the skills wanted list.
Hoping to end up in Adelaide.
We have found the site very helpful so far, thanks to everyone who contributes.

Hiya, we are new to this as well! There are some great websites out there. Look at Aussie-Move.com. Regards, Caroline.

Hi,

We initally went to an Australian Expo, there's one in London and Manchester every 6 months - think its March or April the next ones, they are quite useful for picking up leaftlets to take home and read but you can pretty much find everything you need on the web.

There are various agents where you can do a free on-line assessment and they will tell you are eligible to apply for based on your circumstances and give you a quote - we used ASA Migration who were fantastic, we got our visas in Nov, the skills assessment application in particular needs to be really detailed and they advised us on everything, also with the visa application what to put where etc. There are lots of AGents about or you can complete the forms yourself and even do it online now.

This website can be a great source of info so it might be worth you looking back on a few threads. If you have any questions please drop us a line.

Liz
