Essex Newbie

Hi all,

We are a family of 4 looking to relocate to the SC or GC. We've booked our reckie for later in the year so we can ckeck out aussie life.

If anyone has any info on the following I'd be very grateful:-

Good schools, Kids (10) & (7)
Youth football teams, our boy (10) footie mad!!
Work prospects (OH) Kitchen/Bedroom fitter

My friend Nat (The Baggo's) recommended this site, and I have to say, I'm addicted!!

Hiya guys and welocme to poms in oz,,i have just been hunting for jobs for another member of poms who is staying with us at the moment and i must say im gobsmacked at how much work is about for cabinetmakers/kitchen fitters,you shouldnt struggle securing work anywere around brisbane(sc or gc).As for sports clubs i think youll find most places have after school soccer clubs,football clubs,rugby etc,he definately wont be bored out here!!lol,,choosing a suburb is a tough choice as soo many are great,,good luck!

There is a group of us from Essex that meet regularly - check out the social section - we meet in the Halfway House on the A127 - it's good to be able to put names to faces and meet up with others in a similar situation to you.

As Sunsh1ne says, the next Essex meet is on the 9th March @ 2.00pm at the Halfway House, for some reason Nat can't make it, says she going to be on a beach .......... but there will be plenty more of us who haven't made it over there yet, come and join us for a chat.

Nice signage K P Nuts I'm impressed! I think we may just pop along to HWH to say hi, I feel like there's a million questions running around my head, and like you say, to meet up with like minded people and put names to faces sounds good to me.
Are the children welcome? Can't remember what Nat said!! And just to cheer you up slightly, I spoke to her on Sunday and it was pouring down there! Alltogether now AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
