hi,i,m new to pio and the migration ordeal,i,ve read a few posts on people taking their cats or dogs to oz but has anyone got any info on taking a parrot to oz,its the wifes and very much part of the family so if he dont go then we dont

Hi & Welcome to PIO

Oh Dear I am afraid to tell you that birds are not allowed into Oz. I answered this question for another member a few weeks ago. I am just trying to find the site I found out the info on and will post this when I have found it.

hi janette

thanks for your reply,we;ve decided we are going to leave rocky with family,you never know once this bird flu thing calms down they may allow him into oz,we[gordon 39,mandy 37 chloe 14 and jayden due 13th april]are getting quotes from agents at the moment i,m an electrician heading for brisbane area on a skilled visa,prob wont be able to start the process until jayden's born

hi i have the same problem i have an african grey and my fiance lives in adelaide she has contacted bio security and has bee assured that once the bird flu is sorten there shouldnt be a problem its not a matter of if but when cheers spike
