just a hello

hi all, been looking through this site for a week or so, lots of usefull info.. :-) interesting hearings peoples view of Townsville as I'm going to be living there..
a little about me,
born in Sydney 1970, moved back to UK 1972.
met girl on internet, she was interested in a painting I'd done, (I'm an artist), we got chatting, I'm dreading my phone bill...
At new year she asked me to go over and be with her, Aus passport application is being processed at the moment and hope to go out late March/early April.
At present surounded by boxes and bin bags... and frantically selling everything I can..
Luckily no visa/entry worries, not to sure how useful Aus immigration would consider an artist..lol
what I would like some info on is who I need to notify (if anyone) in the UK that I'm leaving the country?

Hello and welcome to PIO. I would imagine you need contact tax office if you have been working incase you are due any tax back and just any other people such as landlords, electricity poeple etc etc.

Good luck with the move - I've also heard some great things about Townsville, and my brother was seriously thinking of moving there but his wife got pregnant and it was put on hold as she wanted her friends/support network due to expecting twins.

hi, thanks for the welcome, :-) yes i do intend to marry the girl, :-) I shall let you know when the wedding is. it must be catching as her daughter has just met an english lad at school...lol

hi, have set date for wedding as 9/9/2009 :-)
now just have to reapply for my passport as the post office have 'lost it' ... it fell out of a hole in the bottom of his bag....
my central heating has broke and can't get anyone to fix it til Monday at the earliest...
mmm am I sure I want to move to Aus... lol
