HI ALL.... I AM NEW TO THIS SITE. I AM VERY KEEN TO MOVE TO OZ BUT I AM GETTING NO WHERE WITH CONVINCING MY HUSBAND AND DAUGHTERS THAT IT IS RIGHT FOR US... USUAL EXCUSES ARE "WE DON'T WANT TO LEAVE OUR FRIENDS" OR "I'M HAPPY IN MY JOB" I KNOW WE COULD HAVE A BETTER LIFE THERE TOGETHER AND I HATE THE WEATHER IN ENGLAND... I AM AFTER ANY ADVICE OR EXPERIENCES THAT MIGHT HELP ME CHANGE THEIR MINDS.. MY DAUGHTERS ARE 6, 9 AND 11.

Hi Kimba, I think the best thing you can do is book a holiday and take them there as my husband was always trying to convince me and I wouldnt have any of it. We went last year for a month and now I cant wait to get back permanantly.

Hi Kimba:)Welcome to PIO!..that's a hard one to answer, but yes i agree, if you can go on holiday to Aus it may just have the effect of them seeing what a fantastic place it is to live, and maybe a pro's and con's list for your family..i think it's helpful for all to have info and facts about such a big move, and what it would involve for you all..all the best..

My advise too is book a holiday Kimba, we visited QLD/NSW for a month in 2005 and that was it for us. My children are 12 and 8 and love it here, My youngest said yesterday that he feels like he's been here forever.
