I've only just started researching the whole business about a month ago and it feels like the more questions i find answers too the more questions i have, my head feels like its about to explode.
Its taken four hard years to get where we are now, make careers for ourselves and buying a house, and now we are about to throw it all away and start again!!!!! I CAN'T WAIT!!! although its all a bit scary. We are heading out to Adelaide in May this year for three weeks to do some on the ground research so any advice would be extremely welcomed!
I probarbly have all the same questions anyone looking at emigrating to Australia have but for the time being if anyone can give me any advice from your own experiences on common mistakes to avoid that would be a great help.

Good luck to all trying to get out there and i bow down to all that have succeeded in starting a life in the sun.

I don't know about Adelaide but Perth have a very good Police training academy, a friend of ours is training to be a police man in Perth and is really enjoying it.

P.S It's never too late to try something new, I went to Uni in my late twenties and the OH changed careers in his thirties!

just read it, thought about the camper van idea but seeing if J (my better half) gets into the police force it will have to be Adelaide so we've rented a flat for three weeks in the city centre. If you can give us any advice on renting a car that would be great, don't know whether to arrange it on-line before we go or just sort it out when we need to when we get there!!???

Looking forward to take the jump just don't know whether to rent the house out when we go for good (hopefully 2009) or sell it straight away?? (abit of a safety net i know but i really believe we won't need it and thats based on the reaseach we've done alone, we don't get there till May)!
