hi there!! just joined pio. hubby,2 kids & i have finally come to the decision to move to oz. Hubbys a roofer im a x ray assistant, kids aged 12 and 9. WHERE THE HELL DO U START!!! any advice please?? and tips on best places to live not to expensive we were thinking of the gold coast??
Hello and welcome, My advice to you will be to keep looking on this site for any info you require. we are hoping to go to Oz in sept ,Melbourne South. I'm a chippie and i believe there are lots of jobs out there for carpenters and roofers so you shouldn't struggle to find work.Best of luck in all your decisions Steve.

Hiya we settled not too far from the Gold Coast and love life out here,as a roffer hubby would pretty well that way on i think,it is hard work and stressful gaining a visa but its all worth it in the end,,good luck

we are looking to move to the gold coast but as you say where do you start ,we have taken advise from this web site and have also been looking on other web site to find out where to go its so hard but i`m sure you will get there in the end

Welcome to PIO, not in QLD so can't give you any advice there. Just wanted to say that my 12 year old (girl) and 8 year old (boy), both settled very well and made friends very quickly as soon as they went to school which is one of your biggest worries when starting the process - and a huge relief when it all turns out ok.

hi we are at same level as you making the decision to move to australia was hard enough now it really begins. where to start, where to go, there's lots to do and think about. good luck anyway we'll get there in the end.
