This person has no right in saying these horrible things I have actually found John to be most helpful and honest about things and have personally contacted him on occasions with some questions which he was most helpful with. Yes not everyone that goes to Au is going to be happy and for some its the wrong thing but there are a great many others that things do work out but you just have to go out there and find it for yourself.
I think it takes a massive amount of guts to do it and its better to try it than to think about it and never do and then regret it.
I think Harolds comments are unkind, untrue and not what this forum is about, it is surely to help people!

I have to say I really don't get this attitude, like Libby I have not read all Essex threads, but I respect everyone who wishes to place a worth while comment / opinion on this site, afterall some were along the line we have all been there, or still maybe feeling the emotions of this masive move, I am shocked at how curt some people can be, when there really is no reason to be that way, after all it is one persons opinion, no one is trying to preach to anyone, or make you agree or disagree. We all have our different storys to tell, and I to feel the descion to go home takes more courage to make than the one to make the move to Oz. So please guys lets not loose the bigger picture here, and give John a break.

Don't worry what people think life is too short to be unhappy so chase those dreams and aim for the stars. You've tried it which is more than most people have done eh!!! takes a lot of guts move here and takes even more to go home in my book and when everyone asks why just tell them you gave it a go and it wasn't what you thought but at least you tried and when you are old you won't be sat wondering what if - will you!!!!
