Hi there, sad to see you have decided to return home. Just wanted to wish you well as I know you have tried your best to make it work.
We are still trying to sell bl**dy house (5 s***ing buyers have now let us down, mortgage problems etc etc) before we can move over to Oz. If you're coming back to your original area maybe you and my OH could grab that beer as we are not very far away.
Last time I saw one of your posts on here (have lost touch a bit cos of computer problems) you had been down or were going down to Adelaide to get your qualifications for full licence and realised how much you liked it there and thought a move there would be good. What happened?

yes if we are back before you go then we should arrange to meet.
But as for every one else please don't take too much from this More people stay than go home so that must speak for it's self. My main reason is the work situation yes I have other reasons. I could windge about QLD till I'm blue in the face much the same as I moaned about England but winging in Aus is taboo and England is my home. so good luck and follow your dreams.
I have been reading alot of your comments on issues and think your going about things the wrong way. I have been living in Australia for 5 years now and not everything has been a bed of roses but thats life. Life is what you make it. it doesn't sound like you've given life here in oz a go because you keep comparing the 2 countries, and dont say you dont, because i have seen it in your posts. you've got to live and not compare every little part of life. You, I feel is the type of person who do give us the name "winging poms" your an insult to all nationalitys and have no etiquite especially to the people that live in the country you have adopted.You can compare all you like put comments such as the Aussies dont have personalities is as rude as it gets. If this is your attitude in your daily life then no wonder you dont find a good community feel and I bet most of your friends are English. Come on mate give it a go. Take each person as they come and not by what nationality they are. Maybe its you who has no personality, ever thought of that????? Grow up

I think i can relate to some of the reasons you have mentioned - i too am having troubles work wise and also i feel very strongly that England is my home - but unfortuantely i am not in a postion where i can return home yet (mainly due to lack of money) but maybe in a few years i would like to go back to my mother land

I think you are being a bit hard on essex to auz (john), whats the poor guy ever done to you ???
Don't you think each and every one of us are entitled to our own opinion - after all you did say "take each person as they come" - i think John maybe feeling a bit off key at the mo with his intending departure from oz, so lets not make it any harder for him by slagging him off.

I am sure you have your reasons for disagreeing with Essex to Aus, but the purpose of these forums is to support and inform one another, and respecting different points of view. I haven't read all of Essex's threads/ posts but I do know there is no need to launch such an attack on someone. If you don't agree, don't read it.
The three sections above are the parts that I think are most offensive because:
you have said take each person as they come and then attack for having possible English friends - I would like to say that the Aussie people I have met are lovely but socially not very warming, and you are incredibly rude judging people by your own contradictory set of rules.
For myself, I think it takes alot of courage to admit, after a long, emotional, stressful and expensive process, that after all it may not be for you. At least Essex tried.

Not everybody is cut from the same cloth how can everybody enjoy the same thing just not possible and if it were life would be extremely boring its simple if the guys wants to come back then come back if you love it there stay there we should never be victimised by our choice of country if we cause no harm yes we should all give it a damn good go but to come back will be a tough and exspensive decicsion we shouldn't kick them when they are down.
now lets sit down have a few beers or tinnys and rip the mickey out of each other

read your posts and i must say you seem to be the most genuine person i have ever read about on here. you may be mixed up been in a strange country ,but you must follow your heart. if you are really unhappy and want to come home,do it. you can always go back later on and try again.maybe wasnt the right time for you. dont let anyone bring you down, you have had courage to give it a go,which is more than some people can ever say in their lifetime, you can stand up and say I DID IT.
