Hi, my name is Becky and my family and myself are moving to Perth, and i have a nursing job in the Freamantle hospital.
First you have to get you're skills assessed from the ANMC , just google it and you can print off the forms and collect all the documents/ certificates you need these all need certifing by a solicitar, take a few photocopies of all documents/certificates , ring around a few because they all differ in price.
The ANMC have a fee, not sure now how much it is , but they take debit/visa card or bank draft.
Sorry , if i have rambled on a bit , but it is a bit of a long process, getting all the 'stuff' etc.
Any other questions or queries the fab people on this site have the answer. Good luck with the bigining of the road to a new life in Oz.

Hi, I'm a nurse (mental health) and I'm also in perth. After your skills assessment you then apply to the nursing board for the state you want to work in - there isn't a central register like with the NMC. You can do it the other way round and apply for a licence to practise from the state nursing board, and then apply for a skills assessment. If you apply to the ANMC first you can ask them to send your file to the chosen state and you just fill out the application form and of course send the money.

They're crying out for nurses so you won't be short of offers

It's proof of training, registration and how long you've been working for. I can't remember the number of hours you're supposed to have worked in the last 12 months but if you look on the anmc website you'll find everything you need.
