Some questions about our current whereabouts. We live in Wakefield West Yorkshire and have done for the last 7 years since returning from the Gold Coast.
I was born in England and i must admit as patriotic as they come but the way this place is going I just feel that Australia is the place to be.
Both myself and my daughter are Australian citizens which makes the move very easy, last i heard a spouse visa only took about 6 weeks to come through.
Our current predicament mirrors many of the threads on here, i desperately want to move back but my partner has real reservations that i will get homesick and start the whole yoyo pom thing all over again.
We wanted to start using the forum to meet and make friends before we get back to give us a bit of a start.
The gold coast is a fantastic place foe anyone wanting to know especially if you have kids, i wouldn't recommend it to couples as to be honest there's not much to do. Anyone wanting to come back due to homesickness needs to come back for a holiday as thats where i messed up .You will soon realise the benefits to Australia, although there are many places that i see people settling in that may contribute to the fact that they want to return.
