Hi all, we are newbies to this site... we are looking to relocate to SA, we came back from a visit to Adelaide in November and loved it.... (did start the visa application well before then!!)
have been watching the new series of Wanted down under and its got us more keen to get moving!!
Anyone else just starting the visa application to move to Adl?

i just wanted to say hello and welcome to PIO as when i first joined people made the effort to make me feel welcome and at ease (they still do) there is always someone who can answer or knows someone who can answer your questions.
Hi Dan n Nikki, and to PIO, we are hopefully going to Adelaide also, but we are one of the few people on this site that's never been to Oz before. So may be you could tell us what's Adelaide is like.

Hello & welcome to PiO! Not going to Adelaide I'm afraid, but thought I'd say hi anyhow! We're off to the Gold Coast (all being well!) Yes, last years Wanted Down Under was what enspired us to look into emigrating again. Thought about it few year back, but that's as far as it went!
WARNING - There is a very strong possiblity that you will become totally addicted to this site!! (like so many of us on here!)lol!And that Oz will totally take over your life!

Adelaide was beyond what we had expected...our friend had left the uk for Adelaide some 2-3 yrs before (they had gone without visiting first, too) so we had an idea of what to expect....but it was 100 times better than our expectations...whilst we were there we had meetings with a tax accountant, and looked around properties (to rent and buy)....also we looked around a school....it was well worth the visit! we picked up some good ideas of where we would like to settle...
our only hold back so far has been how our families will be devastated if we leave the UK...but i am trying to step over this obstacle!
