Hi, i'm a newbie!
hey guys!

me and my sister are planning to move to Sydney in April 08 to get a change of life and work in the CBD. altho we are living in London at the moment we were born in Blacktown outside of Sydney back in the 80s and after living over here since 92 we have the urge to go back and see where we came from. We are aiming to share a flat close to Sydney somewhere in the Inner West maybe, with a limit of $450 per week as an absolute max. I've already been on Domain looking at flats and just wondering the best areas to look at. Also most importantly areas to avoid. Another question I have is do many flats for rent come furnished?

Hiya guys welcome to poms in oz,sorry but im in Brisbane ,however have you looked at Real Estate, Property, Land and Homes for Sale, lease and rent - realestate.com.au for rentals rather than Domain? Gumtree is another site you may find useful.I would recommend you try and line a few weeks furnished accomodation for your arrival and take it from there.You will struggle getting a long term furnished let i think,but good luck with everything

thank you for the warm welcome guys and HAPPY NEW YEAR. I'll keep looking but I'm kind of coming round to the idea of having to rent and just get some second hand furniture. we'll be staying in hostels for a little bit while looking for jobs and a place to rent. Can't wait now!
