Hi All,

Merry Christmas to you all.
Sorry to but in on your thread. We applied on line for our 457 (5/12/07) (having been given the number to use from our employer). We couldn't send all the documents as it wouldn't take all the attachments, so we thought we'd wait until they contacted us for the rest. As yet they haven't been in touch. I notice that you have all submitted your medicals at the time of application. Were you asked to go for the medicals of just did them anyway? Should we just get them done and sent them? We checked the progress on line and it says it's being proccessed.
Any advice would be good.
Thanks

The Tuckers

Have you got a Case officer yet?. We couldn't attach all of our docs either, when we were allocated a co we emailed them and they asked us to email the rest of the docs through which we did. As far as meds we did ours before being officially asked to get them done, i assumed that because the online application stated we all needed them then that was their way of saying go get them done, however we were emailed by our co approx 10 days later and asked to go for meds, (one of those standard type emails) but at this point we had already had them done, they have now been finalised so not a problem. They cost us £700 for afamily of four but thats because OH and i will be working in healthcare and kids obviously will be in school/nursery.

You can use health centres which have online facilities which makes process quicker. We however chose to do paper copies and opted for a panel doctors whioch had xray facilities on site which sorted everything the same day.

I think DIAC are on minimal staffing over xmas so everything will be slowed down. Don't worry i'm sure they'll be in touch very soon.

Take care

Happy new year

Thanks Chrissy63

No we've not got a case officer yet. After showing Mrs T (Mandytuck on here) this thread and your answers, we have decided to just go ahead and book the medicals early in the New Year and go from there. I'm assuming we have a case officer because our sponsor was given a number from the IMMI for us to use.

All the best for the New Year everyone.

Thanks

Hi Tucker

I too had a sponsorship letter which i had to forward with my other docs to DIAC this included sponsor number etc. Take a look at our timeline so far, our meds were also couriered out to oz by UPS this was organised by the panel doctors however they charged us £45 for this but they did get there in 3 days and we were given a tracker number so that we knew when they had arrived. Our Co is on hols till 2/1/08 so we are hoping we should hear very soon.

Good luck Guys
