Hi Gregor, Welcome to poms in Oz.....Some have gone it alone to save money and have been fine and equally others have used agents........if you do decide to use an agent there are lots of threads on here offering advice about choosing good registered agents........Good luck.....-x-

Hi Gregor

basically it depends on your situation, work skills, age etc

I started off going it alone (due to a strong Scottish streak ) but after I passed the TRA for the wrong skills for my visa application I went with an agent. Best couple of grand I have ever spent.

Unless you have a very straightforward situation I would recomend going with an agent from the start, there have been significant changes to the migration process this year which have caused a lot of stress to some people. Make sure you go with a mara registered agent.

It is always useful to have a look around the sight, use the search button at the top of the page, there have been quite a few posts about using agents, you could also see if there is anyone with similare job role or skills, this would give you an idea of how easy or difficult your application could be.

Good Luck

hazel and dave will become famous soon enough
We used Go Matilda and they were fab every step of the way - including answering my silly and paranoid questions and general hand holding! It is a LOT of money, but money well spent, they will make sure you get it right. Good luck.

Hi,
We applied for our own vise the subclass 136. We did it all ourselves whilst some friends of ours used an agent. It went far more smoothly and CHEAPLY doing it ourselves than it did for them with the agent. If you can stand a bit of form filling, you will be fine. Just download it all from internet and you will be sorted. Need anymore help, just ask
