Another one new to the site.....

Hi

We're new to the site but have just made the decision (after deliberating about it for nearly 2 years) to move to Australia.

My OH has a business in Sydney which is run by his partner but, after listening to his partner rave on about how fantastic Oz is, we've decided to go out and join him.

So we (me, my OH and our two kids age 14 snd 12) are now in the process of trying to find an area that we like. I'm really not a 'city person' and would much prefer to live an hour outside of Sydney, so if anyone has any suggestions then they would be more than welcome.

We've got a trip planned for Easter 2008 to check out suitable schools and areas and we are hoping (fingers crossed) to be in Oz for September 2008.

Any help and advice would be very much appreciated.

Hi & Welcome to PIO!:)..congratulations on your decision to make the move to Aus..i have lived in Sydney, in the Gosford area, but over 30 years ago..my roots are on the other side in Perth..so my input would not be much good to you..all the best and i'm sure some peeps on here will be able to help..
