I'm curious becuse Brits seem to get spouse visas really quickly but I've got a Norwegian mate on another forum. He is married to an Australian lass. He's been told that the proocessing will probably take 6 months.
I can't understand why the timelines should vary as much as they seem to according to the nationality of the non-Austraian spouse.
I'm just wondering whether you know anythingg about this & can shed any light?

Hi Gill,
They do typically advise that spousal visas take an average of 6 months, no matter where one is from, although many spousal visas take less time. It all depends on the specific case, the location of application (workload), etc. Your friend's spousal visa may not take as long as 6 months.
