Another newbie for OZ
Hi, I'm Nicky. What a great forum
Been reading on here for a few weeks and thought it was about time to say hello.
Little intro, I'm married to Paul and we have 3 kids, 10, 8 and 20 months.
Decided to applie for visa last xmas. We sold our house and found a smaller place with mind to rent out when we went to OZ. We decided to applie for visa through husband as he is an Engineer. Sent TRA with police checkks off and was successful. Sent Visa aplication on the 28/10/07 and got conformation of of Aplication 4 days later. Know we are just waiting for case officer. Have to say some days I am very focused and other days I feel like I am waiting for a bus that never comes.
If all is successful we want to base ourselves in Brisbane. At the moment I am looking at Redcliffe area. Been to area before. Thought it was close enough to city and beach.WEll I look forward to recieving your posts. Any advice would be very welcomed.

I am April and mu Hubby is Richard, weh have Bobbie 18, Carrie 16 and Bradley 10. We have also been looking at Redcliffe! Not been before so would love to get some info from you one day.
I have applied for a spouse visa as Rich was born in NSW.

Thankyou for the warm welcome.
We thought Redcliffe was well situated. Not far from the Sunshine coast, 30 minutes from Brisbane city and near the water.
Looking at house prices to rent and buy you get a little more for you money than being closer to the city, but still not that far out.
Also we didn't want city living, from what I remember of Redcliffe it has a nice community feel. Though things do change after 13 years
My husband will also be working about 20 minutes away from Redcliffe.
