Hi and welcome
We decided on South East Queensland, and ended up on the Gold Coast, as it was easy to get a holiday rental here from England via the internet. We've found it's a bit too busy, and getting more so, with so many people moving here every year from overseas and interstate, and are also looking at moving to Redcliffe when our rental in Biggera Waters runs out. Been up for a drive a couple of times, and seems really nice. Had a look around the surrounding areas too, Kippa-Ring, Margate, Rothwell etc, and they all seem decent enough. Will read this thread with interest, as also need all the info I can get!
