New to WA/Driving license query

Just to say hello to all on Poms in Oz, in particular those who are in Australia.

I am lucky enough to have the finances to spend some time in Perth on a (non working!) holday visa whilst I decide if I can make the move to Australia on my own. I sold my house in June in anticipation of making the move but the approximately two year wait for the permanent residence visa, with an undecided mind and the impending cold weather, made me decide to pop over here for a holiday. Now that I am out here I may apply for employer sponsorship.

Anyway, I have seen lots about exchanging a UK driving license. Any ideas where I do that, particularly in Perth?

So if anyone else is over here on their own or planning to come over on their... own good on ya!

Hi & welcome to PIO

If you go to any Department of Planning & infrastructure licencing department in Perth you can change your licence. It costs $152 for 5 years but can be done yearly can't remember how much that is $50-60 I think. Depends where in Perth you are. We used the one in Midland but you can look them up online they are everywhere. Hope this helps.
