myself and my family have been living in and around perth since december 2006. we moved to mandurah first which is a nice plece to live if you want to be close to water but it eventually was too far away from my job which is based in guildford perth.so we moved to settlers hills baldivis which is nice.
we originally come from gloucester.so its good to hear from fellow poms who heve emigrated to perth.

settlers hills is an estate in baldivis.if you drive down the roe highway and onto the kwinana freeway you will come to baldivis.its probably 30 minutes drive south from perth cbd.

what time do you have to be at kings park on dec 2nd and is it ok to be to bring the little nippers along.
it will be good to talk to fellow pommies who may have been living here for years or have just come over here the same time as us but may have found it to be hard going to meet new people you can call friends.

mandurah is a nice place and they do loads of events on the foreshore,like fireworks, music events etc..but because my job was in perth itself it was 75 mins drive there and 75 mins drive back which after 6 months was really tiring.where your friends live is probably an extra 45-1 hours drive north of perth so you are looking at nearly 2 or so hours drive. you should look to go towards ocean reef,joondalup way,which is close to your friends or south perth is nice like como,anywhere along the stirling highway leading into freemantle which overlooks the ocean.but saying that if you like mandurah then by all means go for it
