I am new here on PIO, although I have been living on the Sunshine Coast now for three years. A friend that I have met here recently, that has not long moved over, told me about this website and I had to check it out. I only wish I knew about it when we first came over as found it hard to meet new friends. Coming from Scotland life here is very different and I am glad to say I have settled well in Australia. My OH is Australian so he was already horizontal if you get my drift!
Would love to hear from anybody that is living or moving to the Sunshine Coast. My OH and I live in Twin Waters and it is beautiful. Good Luck to you all!

Glad your enjoying being in Australia, it just gets better all the time. I have only been into Brisbane city centre and Carina where we have friends, to be honest I love being on the coast and only go towards Brisbane if I really have to.
You will be excited about getting the house as it can be difficult this time of year. We arrived three years ago a week before Christmas and it was very hard to find temp accomodation, we ended up staying with my OH family for a few weeks. If I can give you any info that will be of help don't hesitate to ask.

Hi Sharon,
Wishing you well for January and think what your doing is a good idea having a rekkie before settling. There are many nice spots on the Sunshine Coast to choose from, I am sure you and your family will not be disappointed.
