Hi all,

I haven't logged onto the site for ages. My visa application has thankfully been moving on nicely. I applied 10th July 2007, now have case officer and am awaiting my medicals to be processed in Sydney. The only thing outstanding is to scan my PCC when I get it and then wait for the golden e-mail! (I've got my fingers crossed for the end of January).

I am going to Melbourne and am going to work as a nurse. I am hoping to do some travelling on the way to Oz and planning to arrive in October 2008. It is all now really starting to feel like a reality and I am feeling a bit overwhelmed. I have done all this on my own and am moving over there alone. The original plan was to move with some one but it didn't work out, so it's just me!!!

I guess I just feel that I don't really have any one to share in the excitment and planning so if there is any one out there who would like to e-mail etc. then that would be great. Even better if there is any one in Melbourne that would like to get in touch, I have loads of questions to ask!!!

Hi Emma,

Nice to see an independant lass doing what she wants and going where she pleases! We're at about the same stage in our application as you and are hoping to have our visa in hand by early next year so that we can start looking for jobs and move on over!

Keep me posted on how your application is doing - it's always nice to have people support you and this is why this site is so great! :)

Hopefully by the time you move over we'll be settled in Melbourne and you can quiz me on anything you like!
