Young persons view on moving to Melbourne area
Hiya im Kirsty, the daughter of Mark and Tracy. Im 22 and moving to the mornington/Mt martha area and im just wondering if there is anyone around my age who fancies a chat with me to talk about the process of it all and feelings etc.

Hi Kirsty (great name - it's my best friend's back in England),

My OH and I have just got a letter asking for our meds and police checks to be sent in pronto so, fingers crossed, we'll be in Melbourne some time early next year!!

Are you moving out to Melbourne with your 'rents or by yourself?

Melbourne is a great place. It's got the best shopping in the whole of Oz, people are so friendly compared to Sydney and it has just a brilliant vibe to it. You'll love it!!

I am currently living in Sydney, but after revisiting Melbourne last weekend, have decided to move there after I return in the New Year. I wish I'd gone with my heart and not my head's judgement when I came out 6 months ago (I know people in Sydney, but none in Melbourne so thought it would be better off to start in Sydney).

You will just love it there.

Hiya thank you both for replying. Im glad you both seem to like it over there. I am excited but also really nervous etc.....going to be a really big change. Its good to hear the people are really nice as it wil help....and shopping being good of course :o) Im going to be moving over with my parents and brother which is good. Were moving over in January so not long now! x :o)
