Hi all, great site, only found it by chance today and spent a lot of work time reading very interesting posts...
So, my wife, 2 boys (3&4) an myself are looking into the whole Oz thing...hardest thing for me is to understand where one should head...
Been out there a few times travelling, love sydney seems the ideal place, but...house proces look v steep...
Melbourne is a cooler city but the weather just isn't good enough (for me) compared to the brightness of Sydney.
Brisbane is beautiful, but so humid could one really aclimatise to that, I kinda did when travelling but after 20 stubbies you can sleep anywhere...!
So what am I saying...my heart says we should head to Sydney, I'm an IT Project manager at JPMC currently so sydney would presumably be a good place for work.
We want to live right next to a beach, is this feasible, I stayed in coogee for a few months a couple of years back and would love to live there, looks pretty expensive....
what about schools, my eldest has just started at private school here, I understand there are "independant" schools how does that work, anyone got their children in them ...?
