Red face Hi,this is us!
Hi my name is Nick and this is my first time on P.I.O. so please bear with me! My family (Wife Sue,twins Matthew and Joseph 7 and me 42 3/4) are hoping to emigrate to the Perth area late next year.We are only just filling in the first of the forms so this date may be optimistic! Sue is a Sister on a renal nursing unit and I am a Lorry Driver/Heavy Plant operator.
We have never been to Oz but have decided that to try and give the boys a better future(and ourselves a better tan!) we should move down under.Neither of us is afraid of hard work so hopefully things won't be too difficult for us. Well thats us so now you know who we are,and why we will probably be asking loads of obvious questions and driving you all mad!! Sorry in advance! All the best Nick and Co.

Hi Nicko

Welcome to Poms in Oz.

I've heard that anyone with medical qualifications can expect to be fast-tracked in their visa applications. I don't know how true this is but I have definitely heard it said. Your proposed timescale sounds perfectly reasonable to me, therefore.

My sister has lived in Perth for about 27 years now. She has always said she would never move back to the UK.

Hi Nick and Sue and welcome. We're in WA and my son just turned 8 (daughter 12), we've been here since January and feel very settled and content. The kids are settled in school and made friends very easily. I'm a nurse too - Sue won't have any problems finding work.
