Smile Destination NSW - Hunter Area

Hi Guys,

Firstly many thanks for everyone's posts. They have been great to read and a good source of info.
As you guessed we are new on the site, but been browsing for a while. We just started filling out skills assessment for ANMC as we are nurse/midwife and they should go off soon.
Anyone know of anyone in the Hunter area?....or plan to go there?....My brothers in-laws live in Forster and they rave about it, but it would be good to get a few different views on the area, particlularly Newcastle / Maitland / Forster-Tuncurry.
We go in Jan 2008 for our reccie trip.

Cheers
Nige

we live in ollerton so not far away. have fun on your reccie and have a good look around then at the areas you fancy for me one main factor will be how long it will take me to get to the beach (keep telling o h i'm going to be proffesional beach bum !!)

hoorayhenry is on a distinguished road
Hi Nige

If my visa ever gets sorted I'm going to the Port Stephens area - about 60kms north of Newcastle. I've visited the Hunter area a couple of times - it's pretty lovely; quite varied scenery with nice inland national park areas and then the beautiful coastal region. If you want any more info about where exactly I went then feel free to private message me.

Best wishes

HH
