Thank you for providing me some sanity with regards to my application to OZ. It is comforting to read some of the messages and I am so glad I was recommeded this web site.
Could anyone offer a little advise as to when I'm likely to here from a case officer. My application was officially acknowledged on 28th May.
I am applying for a skilled independant visa as a dentist, which is on the MODL.
I am itching to go and am so anxious to push proceedings as much as possible. Is it worth sending medicals and Pcc in advance or to wait till a case officer contacts us. Is it likely that the medicals and character references will expire ie the application take over a year from now?
Personally knowing what i do know I would do them now, if you were acknowledged back in May I would think you may hear something in October.
Police checks take 40 days to come through and meds well we have had to wait ages to get an appointment so many people planning the move. see my timeline just below will give you an indication I think mine is pretty similar to others I know of.

So surprised to open my emails yesterday to find we've been allocated a case officer.
It seems quite sad but being so excited we already feel like we've got our visas just by getting the case officer!!!
