Hi All! Waiting to hear before all systems go!!

Hi katherine and family
We arrive in Sydney on Jan 4th, so far have nowhere to stay and dont have any ideas as to where we want to live!
You're right about the house prices though, I think we'll be in a shed in the outback!

How do your kids feel about it all?
We have a 16 yr old daughter and an 11 yr old son who are ok about it but just want to get on with it now (its been a long time since we started all this). Also have a (nearly) 18 yr old son who is staying here to finish his A-Levels nx June.

Where will the job be based? My hubbies got a job in Bankstown.

Geoff's job is in North Ryde. Kids are rather excited about the move (we've only know for 7 weeks that we're going & we are aiming to be gone end of NOv! ....8 weeks to go!) except for me selling their furniture from under them!

15 yo is due to take GCSE's in May...now she's not, after years of saying how important they are! We're going with the flow here! Anyway....GCSE's wouldn't have any relavence in Oz so it's HSC's for her now!

Good luck with the house hunting!!! Know how you feel!

You're sounding good & organised....well done on selling your house! Although ours is up with an estate agent we've said not to actively market untill new floorings are now. Gotta let the paint dry first! One more room to go! Phew!

Hope your visas get through soon.....ours should be through any time now too....just hoping all is well......& if it's not, we've got a redecorated sparkley new home here to stay in! With hardly any furniture! Fingers crossed eh?!

Hope your family come round to the idea soon. There's always the internet. We're leaving my folks a coulpe of laptops & they're gonna have their own adventure.....learning how to use them at 76 & 79 years old! Tee Hee....they've only just mastered the video player......I'm wishing great patience for my sisters as mum & Dad learn their stuff!
