Hi and Welcome,

My daughter was almost 12 when we made the move and initially was very unsure about migrating due to leaving her friends and her "whole life behind". We had a few tears at the start which we talked through. With the help of the school she was going to we got her a pen pal who she emailed and went on msn with, by the time she came she knew some girls at the school and it made the transition so much easier. We've been here since January and she already thinks of Aus as home - "our national anthem is so much nicer than god save the queen", She'll be happy to chat to your daughter - she goes to High School (again) next year. My son (8) has taken to the outdoor life like a fish to water and my neigbours say he must have lived here in a previous life..

Hope the application goes well
