Can anyone help? wanna bring my partner on my visa he a merchant seaman officer.

I'm a nurse but we didn't use an agent as our application was pretty straight forward, I know that with my qualifications/experience would be able to apply for the 136 skilled PR Visa. I don't know much about partner visa's so you're probably right by going with an agent. A few people on here have used visa bureau and I havn't heard anything negative about them.

Here in Aus you would be able to work within the prison service (healthcare) - it may be worth applying to the prisons and sounding out opportunities etc.,

Hi,

I'm also a nurse and didn't use an agent things like the TRA/skills assessment are relatively easy because of the nursing registration system. If your case is complex then I would use an agent every time. But if its just you and partner go for it all the forms you need are down loadable from the dima website. For nursing stuff go to the ANMC website. Employer sponsored visas tend to be quicker but are more restrictive as a nurse you can apply for a 136 skilled independent which gives you PR but tends to take a bit longer, but personally worth it at the end of the day. I'm sure that there are plenty of opportunities for nurses in the prison service I'd google prisons in whatever region you wish to settle and take it from there.

Good Luck

Monty
