thank you all for responses

God!!!!!! people have really done it. Speaking to kids today they are now coming round to idea. Could anybody advise the best place to start looking, my husband is a ceramic tiler and i'm a btelecom engineer but would be trying to come over on his occupation, and we would like to be near good schools most importantly and preferably not to far from the beach. I think we might now but in for TRA assessment. Thank you all

Hi, we have 3 kids aged 4, 7 and 8. They seem pretty cool about our move but who knows may change once we get there! Family have been a big negative you know, keep saying 'grass isn't always greener' or 'what are you going for?' just to name a few but as everyone says you have to do what is right for your family. As I have said we have got to try it! Good luck

Hi
I know what you mean about the family being a bit negative. My mum can't get her head round it at all. When I told her we'd got our visas (back in May now) she cried and then didn't speak to me for a week! I know that its hard for family and especially hard for our parents as we have 2 children aged 8 & 12. I know that the grandprents will really miss the kids but you have to do what's right for you and your kids and for us Australia is the right thing to do. I know we may not like it but at least we'll have tried & I couldn't cope with thinking 'what if@ in 10 years time.

hi,my o/h's parents were a nightmare to start with about it all.wouldn't even talk about it untill my o/h told them 'we're going anyway'.they're pretty cool about it now.still don't want us to go but accept it more.my mum on the hand said right from the beginning 'go for it,i don't blame you' though she says it will be awful when we go.at the end of the day you've got to do whats right for you and your immediate family.tracy.xx.
