Welcome to Poms in Oz.
Are you applying for the subclass 151 Former Resident visa? To be honest I have seen almost nothing about it. There was one thread on here over a year ago but the applicant did not post the eventual outccome or the timescale.
Do a search on British Expats, I would suggest, as well as on here. BE has been going for much longer than we have and has a far bigger membership, so the question you are asking has a much higher chance of having cropped up before on there than on here.
