WelcomeIf you are new to Poms In Oz and migrating to Australia or currently living in Australia feel free to say hi to all the other either in or moving to Oz.
Hello everyone,
I'm a new member so I thought I'd just say hello. I've been reading the site for months but I'm not very computer friendly so its took me this long to have a go!!
I work in a bank and hubby Jase is in the RAF but his trade is electrician. We have one son, Matthew whos 5 and one on the way (due 12th fEB). Hoping to go to Brisbane at some point, if they'll have us !!
Hello!
We're hoping to get to Brisbane/Gold Coast next May/June. Just filling out my skills assessment form at the moment. Have you started the whole process yet? Seems so daunting before you start! I'm still waiting for some of the required paperwork to arrive for my skills assessment before I can send it off. We're a family of 4, I'm a nurse, hubby works in an office, and we have 2 daughters aged 10 & 12 (13 next month). And we're from sunny aberdeen! lol!
Talk to you soon!
Mags

I never thought of that before! My birthday is in November and my sister's in July. One year she got a paddling pool for her birthday and I wondered why I didn't. My mum had to explain that my birthday is at a time of year that was too cold for it!
My OH has a January birthday, so maybe soon we'll both be able to have the birthday BBQs we always missed out on.
I hope your daughter's party is all she hoped it would be.

Hiya Jo and Jase, welcome to the site, it's been great for us, we've just posted our visa paperwork off a few weeks ago, we're using an agent which saves a lot of stress although quite costly. I'm in the RAF too, avionics trade. Let me know if I can be of any help with using Jase's RAF work experience/qualifications to pass the TRA section. Good luck.
