Hi, we moved to Perth a month ago (not very long I know) and my husband, 2 boys and myself are all fine but our 14 year old daughter is very very homesick, and suggestions, has anyone else experienced this with a teenager??? thank you very much

Hi

Thats so sad, i have 2boys and the youngest who is 14yrs was the one that didn't want to come over but since being here 3months now, luckily he has settled in and is happy he has made friends at school, but sadly not where we live so he stays in after school but saying that its no different as he didn't go out after school in the uk, maybe if she has made friends at school she could have a couple over for a sleepover its a shame theres no clubs for them at that age. Sorry i can't help but i'm sure in time she'll settle in.

Good luck
Karen and Family x

Does your daughter go on msn? We recently used skype for the first time which was great being able to see the people you're talking too. Like Karen suggested what about a sleepover? It does take a little while to establish some friends.
