Moving to Perth

Hi Everyone,
I am in the process of moving to perth, we have applied for a visa and are waiting to see if they let us in. We are hoping to be over at the end of the year. I am getting nervous and am wondering if it is a good idea! I have been to Perth once before for about 4 days, so don't really know what to expect. We have heard that it is really hard to find places to rent in perth, apparently the property market is going crazy? it would be nice to hear from anyone who has moved to Perth from england so you can tell me whether it is a crazy thing to do!

Hi - you know me so well Cal. We moved to Perth in January - I can't believe how quickly the time has gone. We had a 12 week furnished rental sorted for when we arrived and in that time managed to buy and move into our house. We have settled very quickly and I appreciate that we are lucky to have done so. The property market I think is slowing down, houses aren't being sold within the hour. I know Wacky Jackie has recently managed to get a rental after only being here a couple of weeks so it is achieveable.

Hi ALL

I am new on here i belong to pip. We are in Ocean Reef, we have been here 4 weeks and currently looking for a rental around the Iluka area.

If anybody wishes to meet up for coffee that would be great.

I'm south of river in Leeming. I've also been on PIP, but am a bit put off by some of the posters there.

yes i agree some of them can be nasty but some of them mess about. We are good friends with Rick and he is harmless.
