Some sections of the media ridiculed me and Greens Senator Bob Brown called me a bloodsucker. I am fully aware this is only the beginning of a campaign that will be targeted against me throughout the coming year in the lead up to the Federal election.
These are not my only concerns and issues. Water, industrial relations, farming, education, child support, manufacturing and the environment are some that are high on my list of concerns.
My bid for a seat in Parliament is not for financial gains as the media would have you believe. It is not for publicity or an ego trip. My passion is for a fair and just society that allows us to enjoy this beautiful country of ours without fear or favour. I believe governments of past and present brought people into this country only for the vote knowing full well that it would cause social in cohesion.
What we still have at this time is the ability to control our destiny and future for our children and grandchildren. Don’t cast aside the sacrifices given in death and despair from those who fought for our freedom. If we do not keep a vigilant watch over the very heart of our democracy, that is our Parliaments and politicians; there will be no need to fight on the battlefield it will already have been won.
In the lead up to the next election I call on all Australians to help me. If your heart and loyalty is for this country we are on the same path. Let me take my place in Parliament to represent you and stop the rubbish they want to impose on us.

I think she is a asset to Australia and the fact that she speaks loud and clear about it is fantastic ! We dont want Australia to end up like London do we??? thats all part of the reason were getting out of here !
