Sue and Rob
Has anyone had to apply for the above in order to travel outside of Oz. We have permanent residency which was granted 5 years ago and which we paid big $for as it is a contributory parent visa, but apparently the travel part of it has expired and if we needed to go back to the uk we need to apply for the RRV - more money. VERYSTORMY
Why not apply for citizenship?
Pumpkin
Yes loads of people would have applied for it.
pwkl
Very easy to apply online, if you aren't applying for citizenship
davlap
We renewed ours (onshore) this year http://www.immi.gov.au/Visas/Pages/155-157.aspx I recall fees were about $350 each onshore and took just a few days to be granted as there is no need to get a stamp. But depending on where you travel you might need a stamp. We (like you) only went from UK to Oz, so no issue for us. Also you can check the status of your visa and make sure your info is correct before applying http://www.immi.gov.au/Services/Page...-overview.aspx
Ellie 2
$350!! I remember when RRVs cost nothing. When they started to charge $90 I took citizenship. Edited July 25, 2014 by Ellie
