TRA Acknowledgement

Hi

New to the site. Just received our TRA acknowledgement today, things seem a little more real now. Can't wait to find out the outcome. My husband is a metal machinist, anyone else in a similar boat?
I have children Connor (5), Emma(3) and Adam (9wks).

I would love any advice about taking animals over. I have a staffie and she is my other baby - just not sure if she could stand the flight. I'm not quite sure what to do!! Any advice would be grateful!!

Zoe

Hi Zoe
Welcome to PIO and good luck with the TRA!!!! Youve done the hardest bit now!!!!!
I have seen quite a few post on shipping animals on here....... I remember seeing that it can cost between £2000-£3000!!!!!!!!!
Try using the SEARCH option on the above bar (next to "newposts") enter your key word and it should bring up some posts.......... happy reading!!!!!!!!

Hiya Zoe

Welcome to PIO.

We are sending 3 small dogs and are using Airpets. Like you they are part of our family and I couldn't leave them. Be prepared though, it's bl**dy expensive to get them there. Mine is costing more than our Agents fees & flights for 2 adults and 2 children put together

Hi,
We are in the same boat as you. Our TRA was sent last week so we are just waiting now. I am so excited I can't wait to get the results.
We have a boxer dog who I don't think we will take with us - not sure he would stand the flight as he is a nervous wreck but I'm sure we will find him a good home.
We have 3 boys Ryan (9), Owen(6) and Jake(2) - I think we will have our hands full with settling in with the kids without worrying about a dog as well. It's an awful decision to make to leave your dog behind but I suppose so is leaving the rest of your family.
Good luck with your TRA and try not to feel too guilty if you can't take the dog.
Amanda

Amanda

It's good to know that others feel the same way about taking their pets. I love my dog and was so sure I would take her but I just don't know if I could put her through the flight, she is bad enough when she travels in the car!!
