hi.how hard is this going to be????

oh my god! where on earth do we start.does anyone suggest a length of time to think things thru? do we get an agent or do it ourselves? what are all the abbreviations for? any suggested reading? oh my head hurts. hi by the way my name is steph my husbands is dunc, we have 3 boys 2 of whome will be comeing out with us, if we get accepted of course, and if we can get up of the floor and get going, i feel like i dont know where to start. any suggestions? we have contacted 2 agents but they a reluctant to give any info, is this the norm?

ayer, we are hopefully moving to townsville in dec, wot do you do for a living? coz if you r getting sponsered i wouldn't get an agent, they just want your money!!! don't get too stressed, just hit the bottle! we have !!

I agree, slow down, it's going to take at least 6 - 12 months for you to get your visa. Your first task is to decide which visa you're going to apply for. Have you got a skilled occupation? You need to look on the DIMIA web site at the MODL list to see if your occupation is listed. Have you done one of the free points assessments to see if you have enough points? This would be you're starting point.

Like Dan says, chill and enjoy the ride (it's the only way you'll make it through alive!)

What agents have you spoken to? We are using Visa Bureau and they have been great from the very first contact.

Do you have any idea what type of visa you are going to apply for? try looking at some of the agents websites that will explain a bit about them. You can also try taking a points test. this will then give you a bit more info to talk to the agent about.

CO - Case officer
TRA - Trade recognition authority
Meds - medicals for visa
PC's - police checks

Anymore you need to know then just ask and someone will be able to tell you.
