WelcomeIf you are new to Poms In Oz and migrating to Australia or currently living in Australia feel free to say hi to all the other either in or moving to Oz.
I have been looking on this web site for a while now.
And this goes out to the old ones and the newbies.
And think that all the ppl who post on here with there probs and the ppl who reply back with words of wisdom and words of encouragement.
that you all deserve a pat on the back for being so honest and sharing with your problems no matter how small you may think they are someone will always find or know the answer.
And to put ourselves through the heart ache and trauma be it leaving family or even down to having the medicals. that we are doing something about our future..

Thankyou for a lovely post ,i personally try and help as much as poss because i was in the same boat last year of applying for a visa ,unsure where in Oz to go and my head filling with all sorts of questions ,,a post like this makes you realise just how much this site does help and as Peggy says i think we all deserve a pat on the back, poms old and new !

Thanks, Like everyone who has their visa, I know what it feels like to wait and wonder if it's ever going to happen, to have the odd wobble and wonder if you're doing the right thing and then to know you are but feel guilty for leaving everyone behind. Then the wonderful feeling of getting the visa and being able to share it with people on here - because they know what it means to you.

I totally agree with the friends and family not really understanding what it's like! It's fab to come on here and see everyone else is feeling exactly the way we are! At least we know we're normal....or more likely that we are all bonkers!!!! haha.
I agree entirely, I've only just started using this site but a thorough search of some of the previous threads has answered most of the questions that you can't find answers to on websites. I'm sure I'll be back again and again as new queries arise so thanks in advance.
One query I haven't had answered though is the matter of watching English football on TV in Australia. Am I right in thinking that I'll require satellite tv???
Thank you for such a nice post, which I agree with whole heartedly! So many people on here have helped me so far and it's really nice when you are able to help someone in return.
Apart from everyone just being a damn nice bunch I have made some good friends on here, and I'm sure those friendships will continue once we all make it to Oz, regardless of what part we are heading to!
