Well, we are in Mornington and love it! And so too does our 18yo.
There is plenty here to do for all ages.
I think you really need to get here first and then make a final decision.
We were definately going to Berwick but once we drove down the Nepean Highway and saw the bay views we quickly changed our minds!!
Good luck.
Lesley

..and me in Geelong, a magnificent place to be....

Come on out, hire a car, spend a couple of days driving around the bay... The Bellarine Peninsula (the other side from Mornington, at the head of which sits Geelong) is not so heavily built-up, and provides more of a semi-rual lifestyle, if that's what you are seeking... and has Geelong, Victoria's second largest city, just a few km away.

I prefer Mornington to Geelong any time, but as people say the best thing to do is to have a look when you get there, and perhaps stick your house money in the bank for six months and rent in the area just to be sure? If you buy and then decide to move chances are you'll spend £10,000+ on stamp duty for the privilege!
