I'm Kat, I'm 24 and was reading all your posts... This forum seems really good and everyone is really nice on here.
I'm currently in the UK and have just handed in my notice at work so I can move over to Australia. I'm going to be living in WA about 5 mins away from Joondalup and I'm really excited, but sooooooooooooo nervous!
I've decided to take the Student option and will be starting at TAFE in July. I've been to Australia many times, but only on holiday and it's been with freinds.
This time i'm going alone and my biggest fear is that i won't make freinds.
I will be living near to my Dad, who's been in Oz for 10 years now, but there is a big age gap between us and he's very much a work-aholic!
Well i just wanted to say Hi and it would be great to hear from anyone who has been through this, or has any advice.

We have just come back from 10 days in Perth and cannot wait to go back ! We wish we were going in July, but more likely to be June 2008 at the earliest. Great weather, great food, great beaches, big houses and less traffic ! Several 'locals' we met were feelin' a little chilly as it is mid autumn. Only the poms were in the sea or on the beach apparently, but to us it seemed equivalent to a good summers day in the UK! Go Kat go, You won't regret it.
Thanks i cant wait either..! I'm just waiting on my Medical to be done next Friday then hopefully everything should be sorted and I'm on my way! woooohoooo!
