CO is Case Officer. Once the visa application does in, you get a acknowlegement letter giving you the official lodgement date and the application reference number. This is followed by stony silence, sometimes for several months depeding on the vis being aplied for. Eventualy a CO makes contact either with you or your Agent (if you are using an Agent) and the end-stages of the process are then organised with the help of the CO.
Don't worry. Give it a month on here and you'll be speaking the jargon like a native, I can absolutely assure you!! What are your own plans and circs, honey?

Hi Gill, and thanks very much for your reply, I haven't a clue about most of this. Me, Hubby and kids want to go to Perth if possible. He is a cook/chef and Im studying. We just want a better life with better weather. We have 2 kids and hopefully they won't be dissappointed if we don't get. They want to go right now. Im checking out the forms now, will probably get an agent to help. Thanks v much. Ang.
We love Perth too, but we're off to Melbourne (work that one out!). Have posted some pics of Perth on gallery if you've not been and want to take a look.
