HELLO ! a new new newbie

Just wanted to say Hi, its lunch at work and I'm surfing PIO. My OH is a carpenter, we have 2 daughters aged, 11 and 5. My OH's TRA (skilled carpenter) hasn't even been sent off yet, we're just waiting for the agent to okay it. We've never even been to OZ ! but love the look of Perth. If all goes okay we are hoping to visit in the summer !

I dunno why I feel so nervous

Hi, we are moving to Perth in October and my hubbie is a chef. We have 2 kids aged nearly 6 and 3.

Thanks for the reply, have you been to Oz before ? do have friends or family in Perth ? We are going on our own but hopefully my hubbies brother, wife and kids will follow us.

I so need to get out of this country !

How long has it taken you to get your visa ??

Hi,

We went on holiday there in 1994 for 6 months and we both have relatives over there. Even though we have relatives there we probably won't see them very often. A few of our friends are also wanting to come out after us.

We sent our tra off in feb/march 2006 (can't remember exactly). Visa application was received in Oz on 21st April 2006. We had our meds done on 31st October 2006 and then we were granted our Visa on 28th November 2006. Total was probably about 9 months. Seems longer as you have to get all the info needed for the tra which takes the longest time.

We used and agency the Visa Bureau who were great.

We are using the Migration Expert, I really hope we can say how great they are in 9 months time. Its feels we have a long road to go down.

Hi to the Reynolds family,

We are heading to Perth also and like yourselves we have never been there before but we do have friends out there. Good luck with your TRA we have received our letter today to inform us that our TRA was successful (it was only sent off two weeks ago) so we are bouncing off the walls with excitment! We thought that things would move alot slower than this judging by the posts on PIO so are very surprised and can't stop reading the letter over and over.

We have two children (7 year old and a 3 year old) and they both can't wait to get there, we have brought magazines and brochures and watched programs together so that they can see how amazing Perth is, just waking upto sunshine everyday will be fab!!

Hope that all goes well for you and maybe we could all meet up in Perth when we are all there. (We are hoping for Christmas).

Trouble is that I spend more time reading this than I do working ! Thank the lord for the ALT-Shift key !

I don't want to get too excited until we get through the TRA part. My agent decided to take a holiday ! I WISH SHE'D COME BACK TO READ MY HUBBIES REFERENCES !

I must get back to doing my work......................

Can me and mine meet up tooooooo?!!!!

We're also hopefully of to Perth. Just had our meds done, waiting for Police checks and now the worst wait of all I feel.
We've not beeen to Perth either, but from what we've seen and heard it seems too good to be true and like you all, just really want this so bad.
