Just joined the forum, i have just started the process to move to Oz and are using a company called " Visa Bureau " anyone used them or heard any bad press about them ? also are there any expats over there from Heywood in Lancashire ?

Welcome to the mad forum where we all have advice and take advice and have a laugh too, cant answer your questions really apart from we live in Horwich, Bolton, Lancashire and are just awaiting on visa approval as done all the other bits etc, we are going out on a 457 Subclass visa. Hiya welocme to poms,youll find loads of helpful info on here,we used Visa Bureau last year to get our 136,and we are from Bury ,,but left for Brisbane in Novenber ,,,,whos your advisor at visa bureau ,we had Lauran Mennie and she is excellent,made a tough job much easier ,,good luck with everything

My advisor is Bronwyn and she has been really helpful, from Bury then ? right next door to me.
We want to go to Brisbane, i am a cnc machinist by trade ad fingers crossed etc etc. Any advice on Brisbane eg where to live, did you rent first, jobs etc

Hiya we were lucky in that we had someone put us for a few week till we sorted a rental ,they are becoming harder to get so its good to have somewere you can stay for a week or two,in regards to areas there are loads of nice places it depends what you as a family want,i can tell you were i'd personally avoid but them suburbs are few and far between.Brisbane is having a property boom at the mo and there are loads of poms here,we have found everyone friendly and helpful.Do you have work lined up ? Hubby works in southport nr surfers paradise he found a job pretty easily,, ,here ,if you want to work you shouldnt struggle getting employment,i applied for 3 jobs in one week and got offered all of them ,this area is just getting popular and they are devoloping like mad,where do you work over there.We lived in Tottington and hubby worked in Chesham,, i did quite a few years on bury market and used to work with a lad from Darn Hill, im amazed how many people are moving from manchester way,but can understand why,

Hi there, just joined the forus aswell, we used The visa bureau and they were great. We also had Lauren Mennie as our advisor. She was very helpful and fantastic from start to finish. We are on our way to Perth in October!
