QUOTE=thistles and gum trees;94225]Hi Nicky - we are going with the ADF to Melbourne in October. Well its not actually in Melbourne but in Sale (nice Qs though). My kids are 14, 12 and 7 - will be 8 by then..... We are only going to be down there for about 12 months too before we are posted onwards. Drop me a line to compare if you want. We have got the children into a reasonably fair fee paying Catholic School (whish seems very very good) - even though we're not Catholic. They have been fab and are working out my sons "GCSE options" wonderfully - they could not have been better..... We are really very happy with the whole process - have you soken with the REDLO?

Drop me a line.. Sarah[/quote]

does any one no if theres a diff in standards between catholic schools and regular state schools??
Dunno whether to go catholic or not!
Also we are going on a study visa, so we have to pay towards schooling so are they more expensive?

My children are going to state schools, I have become more relaxed and not constantly worried that they don't get home work. My 7 year old loves school and has developed a passion for science due to his teacher whose been in the business about 30 years. My daughter will start high school next year (state) which has a good reputation, good exam results and is about a 10 min walk from home. I think it's rated as one of the top 10 in the state (WA) and also the other local (state) high schools of Willeton and Rossmoyne are placed within the top 3
