need some help please just starting out

Hello our names are Lisa and Nigel Evans, sitting in our house in rainy cardiff. At the very early stages just discussing pros and cons cost etc, just wondering if anyone could recommend a migration rep in or near cardiff. We have a six year old daughter called Sophie, we think its a good time to make the move while she is still young. Have a cousin moving out to queensland not sure where abouts ,so we are thinking of there any info on queensland would be appeciated. Im a carpenter and my wife is a catering manager we have filled in an idependent skills test it appears we have enough points.

many thanks

lisa nigel and sophie

Hi, Welcome

I'm sure you'll find the site really useful, I have.

Can't recommend an agent as we are doing it ourself but I'm sure someone will be able to help you. Agree with you about it being an ideal time regarding your 6 year old. Brisbane is a fabulous place and I'm sure you'll all love it.

Good luck - Joanne

We're using the Emmigration Group - they're based in Chester. Sorry if it's too far from Cardiff but my Geography and map skills are a bit naff!

Hi guys, We used the Austalia Visa Bureau, they are excellent. We are in Plymouth they are in London, but you never meet anyway.

We have had our medicals and just waiting on the police checks. Planning on Brisband in September. VERY VERY Excited.......

How do guys
I didnt use an agent, and found the whole process quite straight forward. There was the odd confused moment, but nothing too bad
I used a company called liveinaustralia.com, who for a fee ($400 i think) provided me with all the required forms and allowed me to ask up to 3 questions per day by e-mail.

I found the service great, and they kept me upto date with any changes....
It saved me a lot of money too

Hope this helps:p
