New to site

Hi found this brilliant site by accident. i wiil fill you in on our story.
My husband has got a job interview next week for entry into perth under the 457 visa sponshorship scheme. Hopefully he will get a job offer but does anyone know what we can expect then. We have a 15 year old daughter and a 9 year old son. The lad can't wait to go. Here is our dilema we know he has a medical condition called aortic valve stenosis. Basically it means his aortic valve is narrower than it shuold be. He is what is callled sympton free and requires no medication at all and only yearly heart scans. He may never have symptoms or maybe need it corecting tommorow. we just don't know. Would this be enough to stop him getting entry into Aus. God we hope not but please any advice would be greatly recieved.
thanks
sheratt

When it comes time for the medical get copies of any letters or ask the consultant to give you a summary letter saying what the problem was, treatment and that his has now been symptom free for so long and what the prognosis is. Don't worry if your medical is sent to the commonwealth doctor for review - this is normal when there is something a little out of the ordinary on the medical and doesn't mean they're going to say no. My friends hubby has had major constructive knee surgery, it's as good as it's going to get at the moment, he'll probably get arthritis at a young age and will more than likely need another operation - his medical was sent for review and they got in.

Good luck with the interview and welcome to the site
Ali

p.s. My kids are 12 and 7 and have settled in so quickly - they love it.
